Confidentiality / Child Protection

Colville Nursery Centre has a responsibility to ensure the safety of the children in
our care.

We aim to work in partnership with parents and carers.

Part of this process includes openness about roles and responsibilities - particularly our duty to protect children ('The Welfare of the Child is Paramount' - The Children Act 1989).

This duty may override the usual boundaries of
confidentiality in a case of possible child abuse.
