Fundraising Events and Outings

Colville Nursery Centre relies on grants, children's fees, donations and fund-raising to enable us to operate a high quality Care and Education Centre.

We encourage parents and staff to contribute towards raising funds throughout the year.

The money raised goes towards purchasing new equipment for the children, also a designated amount goes towards the running costs of the Centre.

Throughout the year we hold a number of fundraising events including:

1. Children's Sponsored Walk

2. Summer Fayre

3. Bonfire Party

4. A number of raffles, cake sales or other small sales.

All of these events generate good opportunities for community involvement and enable us to continue fundraising for the Centre.

The Centre organises a day trip for all the children and their parent / carers once a year. The destination is decided by the parent / carers through a voting system, the most popular venue being chosen.

The cost of the trip varies according to the entrance fees and the price of hiring the coaches. We are generally able to offer a discount to
parent / carers, as we go out as a large group.
Which is marginally cheaper than going on
your own.

These days out are thoroughly enjoyed by
the children, parent / cares and staff and
are talked about for months afterwards.
